Nick and Destynee’s story starts in December 2021. Destynee was working at Hobby Lobby as a cashier, and Nick had just started working there as a seasonal stockman. Even though Destynee thought Nick was cute, she didn’t say anything. Nick, however, told his coworkers he was going to find out if she was single—and if she was, he planned to date her. One day, they finally found themselves alone in the breakroom, where Nick introduced himself. They started talking about what they liked to do and quickly realized they both enjoyed going out and having fun. Soon after, Destynee made plans for them to hang out. They went to a nice hotel with a couple of coworkers and listened to a band. After that night, they couldn’t stay away from each other. Nick eventually asked Destynee to be his girlfriend. From there, they began going on dates, camping, traveling, bowling, fishing, doing puzzles, and finding anything they could do together. As time went on, they attended several weddings for their friends, and before long, they couldn’t wait to have one of their own. In 2024, Nick wanted to make the proposal extra special, so he started planning a year in advance. He chose a place neither of them had ever been—a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Yucatán. Finally, February 2025 arrived, and it was time for the cruise. On one of the excursions, Nick decided it was the perfect moment to propose. The excursion took them to the Mayan ruins in Yucatán. When they climbed to the top of the ruins, Nick got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes! They spent the rest of the week celebrating, excited to get home and share the news with everyone else. Now it’s 2026—the year of the wedding! Nick and Destynee are so excited and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. They are looking forward to celebrating their special day with all their family and friends and can’t wait to see everyone there!!
