They say love is a funny thing — and Derryn and Nick definitely proved that true with their love story, because it started with eye rolls, sass, and a whole lot of “you’re annoying.” They met at PetSmart, surrounded by barking, shedding, and shampoo galore. From day one, Derryn made it very clear she did not have time for this chill, go-with-the-flow guy who never seemed bothered by anything she said. She’d correct him, roast him, tell him he was driving her crazy… But every time she did, he’d just look at her with that smile — the one that said he secretly loved it. Over time, the sass turned into sparks. They realized there was more to each other than met the eye — beneath Derryn’s fiery exterior was the biggest heart… and behind Nick’s calm, quiet demeanor was someone who adored every bit of her. Through ups, downs, and everything in between, they always knew that the one constant would be each other. Now, with three fur babies, countless memories, and more laughter than they ever imagined, they are saying yes to each other — forever. We were on vacation in Chicago. On Sunday morning, we went to Garfield Park Conservatory. We walked around admiring all the different plants and flowers.
