Nick and Demi met at freshman athletic convocation at Texas State University in 2010. Naturally, the mens and women's basketball teams gathered to introduce themselves. After the introduction, both teams went their separate ways for the ceremony. That's when Demi called "dibs" on Nick to her teammates. She had never seen someone, well, so much taller than her and thought Nick was the most handsome guy she had ever seen. After that day, it didn't take long for the two to be inseparable. From river floats to late night one-on-one games at the gym, Demi and Nick carried on a great friendship for two years. After two years, that friendship became something more when they realized they spent all of their time with each other and wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else. That's when Demi got their first dog, Mac, who changed their lives forever. They spent their days hiking around San Marcos, Texas, and co-parenting their beloved furry friend which quickly became two furry friends when Demi decided she needed Roxy, the light of her life. After college, Demi and Nick moved to Dallas, Texas where they pursued their careers in Marketing and Sales and, you guessed it, adopted a third dog named Echo. After 6 years, Nick proposed to Demi in Broken Bow, Oklahoma where they spent numerous anniversaries celebrating their love for one another. Demi and Nick are ecstatic to spend the rest of their days starting a family, rescuing more dogs, watching Netflix and exploring their love for traveling and the outdoors.
