Sometimes people like to pretend that we are all meant to meet in some romantic, grandiose way. It doesn't always take shape as an obvious, soul-mates from the beginning, mediocre romantic comedy . Sometimes you pull into a drive through in a small town in Ohio, expecting to pick up party supplies and a pizza and you come across a ornery little red headed girl. Sometimes people are friends and watch each other grow into the exact person they were looking for all along. Sometimes relationships are not about how quickly they start, but where they end up. Our love of outdoors and adventure leads us to the day Nick purposed. We were on our annual trip to Hocking Hills to attend the Winter Hike 2017, a hike from Old Mans Cave to Ash Cave. Nick couldn't hold in the excitement anymore and popped the question a day early at Cedar Falls . I was taking pictures of the waterfall, as I turned back from my camera he was down on one knee. The sneaky fella caught me off guard and all I could muster was a "What ya doing down there?". Yup smooth I know. Well our long time friendship and mutual weirdness lead us to where we are today.
