Our story begins at Munson Medical Center where Cassie had just finished her pharmacy residency and was hired on as a Cardiovascular Pharmacist and Nick was a RN in the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit. While they didn't talk much at work, Nick took the bold move (especially as a Michigan State Spartan) to tell Cassie "Go Blue" on Facebook Messenger during the Michigan-Ohio State Football Game. However, it wasn't until Christmas when they were both working that Cassie went to Nick's unit for a Christmas feast and Nick had her try his homemade venison stuffed peppers that they started talking. Fast forward a few weeks to their first date- Nick packing for a trip to Cuba. Cassie went over to hang out, but it turned into her actually packing/folding clothes for him. After a few short months of dating, Nick was going to go to CRNA school at Wayne State and needed to move downstate. Cassie started searching for jobs and ended up finding one at Michigan Medicine. They moved to Livonia, bought a house and the rest is history! Keeping with the theme, Nick proposed to Cassie while they were packing for their trip to Iceland in August of 2023, with their two dogs, Lumos and Luna beside him.
