Come and celebrate with us on the beach!

It was 2014 when we got our match! Our first conversation was the day after Thanksgiving where we naturally talked about all the food we ate the day prior and how many naps we were planning on taking from all the tryptophan. Nick mentioned he was from a town out in Western MA assuming Carly had never heard of it, but having gone to Springfield College, of course she'd heard of Longmeadow! She always enjoyed escaping the city life to go to the Panera and do some shopping in East Longmeadow (Nick's H.S. Rivals) HA. After many conversations back and forth and numerous quoting of Adam Sandler movies, we decided to give it a shot and meet up for our first date. We'll never forget meeting for the first time in Carly's two door jeep at Nick's G street apartment in Southie. We walked over to Stats Sports Bar for dinner shared some buffalo chicken bites and the rest is history. Fast forward to 4 years and a Boomer later, on August 10th, 2018, we found ourselves on the beach down the Cape after a long day in the sun at the Red Jacket Resort with our family. Nick wanted to go for a sunset walk, as we've done many times before. We jumped down into what seemed like a ditch with just the sand and ocean in the background. Moments later, he dropped down on one knee and gave Carly the best surprise of her life. We headed back to see our parents back at the room and yelled "We're ENGAGED!" from a distance. Needless to say we all had some celebratory drinks the rest of the night. Soon to be almost 3 years being engaged and a pandemic, we can't wait to finally do this thing with all our friends and family!
