We’ve known each other for a long time — long before we ever imagined we’d end up here ✨ We were good friends in high school, but college, jobs, the Air Force, and life pulled us in different directions. Years passed. Then COVID brought us both back home, each of us seeking connection in a strange and lonely time… and onto the dating apps 📱 When we matched on Hinge, it showed up as a “Perfect Match,” which Nick jokingly mentioned in his first message 💘. Instead of replying in the app, Calli did what felt completely right in the moment — she went to her contacts and immediately called the phone number she still had saved from high school 📞. Nick saw the incoming call and thought, “This chick is crazy.” Meanwhile, Calli was thinking, “He probably thinks I’m crazy.” Turns out, we’re both the best kind of crazy 🤪💕 We met up for the first time in over six years on St. Patrick’s Day 2021 🍀 at The Depot in Cold Spring, NY — the very place where Nick worked in high school. Calli wasn’t even sure it was a date when she arrived… but the kiss at the end made it very clear that it absolutely was 💋 By April 26th, we were official 💑. By August, we were living together 🏡 In the summer of 2022, Nick’s mom, Missy, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Shortly after, she moved in with us. We were given the gift of deeply special, meaningful time together — moments we will forever hold close 🤍. Missy passed on March 28, 2023 🕊️ Since then, we’ve loved each other harder every day — never taking a moment for granted, and saying yes to as many epic adventures as possible 🌍✨ In April 2024, we bought our first home together: a cozy little ski chateau in Wardsboro, Vermont ❄️🏔️. Calli supported Nick through a major career transition — from journeyman lineman to remote project manager 💻 — which means no more outdoor manual labor and lots of working-from-home together (until Calli heads to Passion to teach dance 💃). Calli opened Passion The Adult Dance Studio in March 2022, and Nick has supported her dream wholeheartedly from day one ❤️ On July 10, 2025, Nick proposed to Calli on top of Haystack Mountain in Wilmington, VT ⛰️💍 — and she screamed HELL YES from the mountaintop 🎉 This year, we also added two fish tanks to our living room and welcomed a whole bunch of little fish and shrimp children into our lives 🐠🦐 We couldn’t wait to celebrate our love, so here we are — planning a wedding in less than four months, on the anniversary of Missy’s passing 🤍. We know how proud she is of us, how deeply loved we are by her, and how lucky we are to have found each other ✨ We’re choosing to take one of the hardest days of our lives and turn it into one of the most beautiful — knowing you’ll all be there to celebrate with us, and that Missy will be up in the sky, drinking a Black Cherry White Claw 🍒🥂, smiling through the happiest tears, and dancing right along with us 💃🕺 We love you ❤️ Thank you for celebrating the best thing that’s ever happened to us 🎉✨
