Bekah and Nick met working as a colleagues at the Ivy Street School in Brookline, MA. After becoming friendly, each realized they had a tremendous amount in common- including the fact that they were both smitten. Nick scored some extra tickets to a Red Sox game and invited Bekah. Bekah returned the favor and bought him a beer at Fenway (which was likely more expensive than the ticket itself). Soon after, the two enjoyed each others' company at spontaneous concerts, brewery visits, and dog parks. To seal the deal, Bekah's black lab Charlie told Nick it was about time to become his official "Dog Dad" and so the story continues and the adventure really begins...

The day after Thanksgiving in 2019, Nick and Bekah drove to New Hampshire to have a second Thanksgiving celebration with Nick's family (or so Bekah thought). Before meeting up with Nick's family, Nick took Bekah to one of their favorite nature walks- Rainbow Falls in Plymouth. Upon arriving and traversing through the snowy woodland paths, they came to a serene winter waterfall. At that moment, Nick nudged Bekah to look towards Charlie's collar where a new dog tag read "Charlie Winston Rodriques." Bekah soon after turned around where Nick was waiting on one knee asking her if she would be his bride.
