The Wharf is hosting Oktoberfest Friday, Sept 30-Sunday, Oct 2! We hope you enjoy the festivities :). Please see the link for the Oktoberfest schedule and the description below: It’s that time of year—put on your dirndl or lederhosen, grab your Dachshund, and head to The Wharf for a weekend of free Oktoberfest festivities. Kick off the weekend with Polka dance lessons on the pier and cheer on the dogs competing in the 10th Annual Wiener 500 Dachshund Dash to benefit Rural Dog Rescue. Or try your hand in The Wharf stein hoisting contest. Throughout the weekend, enjoy German fare, Bavarian decor and costumes, and Sam Adam Octoberfest beer!

The spot of our first date. If you've never been to DC before, the Georgetown Waterfront is worth checking out. Luckily in October, it won't be too touristy, you'll be able to enjoy the views and soak up (hopefully) some good weather.
A lot of goats in our recommendations, weird. We have probably taken you here for brunch for those of you out-of-towner's who have visited over the years. Fainting Goat is a crowd-pleaser. It would warm our (mostly Nick's) heart if you spent the early afternoon of our wedding at Nick's favorite brunch spot.
