It’s a love story for the ages. Nick and Andrea first met in college, both traveling for seasonal work. The time they spent together was rare and fleeting, but once their travels came to an end, they made their relationship official. Andrea had one semester left to finish her degree, and though her grades may have slipped a little, it turned out to be the most enjoyable semester of her entire college experience. After graduation, Nick and Andrea packed up and moved to California, where they weathered the challenges of the pandemic side by side. While it was a difficult and stressful time, it ultimately brought them closer together. Though the beauty of California and the awe-inspiring Sierra Nevada mountains captured their hearts, they soon realized it was time for a new chapter. With the pandemic starting to ease, they decided to take a leap and move to the Pacific Northwest—a place they had fallen in love with during a road trip the summer after graduation. The move itself was nothing short of wild. They didn’t have jobs lined up, and they didn’t know much about the town they were moving to. What they did have was a dream of misty mornings, moss-draped trees, and most importantly, each other. And it worked. Over the past few years, Bellingham has become home, and their love has only deepened. Nick now works with the Washington Department of Natural Resources, collecting tree data in urban forests, while Andrea recently began working with the Opportunity Council, where she finds great fulfillment in supporting the local community. Together, they’ve built a life they love—one of growth, adventure, and learning. Through it all, their bond has only strengthened. Now, after all the big adventures and small wonders they’ve shared, it’s time to take the next step: they’re ready to get married.
