FAQs

You've got questions? We've got answers.
Question

What's your COVID-19 policy?

Answer

Our reception venue requires everyone to be fully vaccinated. We are at a 100% vaccination rate among guests who will be attending. We've always thought we had pretty smart family and friends, but this is nice validation nonetheless. To keep our indoor event as safe as possible, and give peace of mind for those returning home to young unvaccinated children or other vulnerable family members, we're asking that everyone take a rapid test in the 48 hours leading up to the wedding and ensure a negative result prior to joining us on Friday or Saturday. As of March 2022, Philadelphia has dropped its indoor mask mandate, though we certainly support you wearing a mask indoors if you would prefer. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and keep you updated if anything changes.

Question

Will transportation be provided from the hotels to the wedding and back?

Answer

Yes! Shuttles will pick you up from the hotels, bring you to the ceremony in Abbe's hometown of Ardmore, back to Fitler Club for the reception, and, finally, to the hotel after the reception (or the after party for the night owls!). St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore, where the ceremony is being held, is about 35 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Shuttles will depart from The Hotel Palomar (117 South 17th Street, Philadelphia) at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 17. Please board shuttles ten minutes before 3:00 PM outside the front door of the hotel on 17th Street. Any local Philadelphians who don’t want to drive out to Ardmore and back, please feel free to come to The Hotel Palomar and board a shuttle. After the ceremony, shuttles will bring guests to the reception at Fitler Club. Shuttles will begin bringing guests back to the Hotel Palomar at 10:00 PM. The last shuttle leaves the Fitler Club at 1 AM at the end of the after party.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Elegant, festive, and colorful formal cocktail attire. Think midi or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or suits and ties. You can leave your tux and gown at home! The ceremony and reception will be indoors, with cocktail hour outside, weather permitting.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location ADA accessible?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and reception locations, as well as all three hotels, are accessible to all.

Question

Can I take pictures to post on social media?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony at the church. During the reception? Go nuts! Be sure to use the hashtag #nickandabbe so we can see!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your kids and wish we could invite them all, we’re limiting our guest list to those under six months and over 16. If you'd like to bring your kids to town to explore Philadelphia, let us know and we will assist in finding childcare for Saturday's events. And, if your kids are in town, please know they are most welcome at the Welcome Party and Brunch!

Question

I have dietary restrictions. What’s the best way to communicate that to you?

Answer

Please let us know about your dietary needs when you RSVP so we can be sure to accommodate you. Go ahead and jot them down on the margins or on the back and we'll make sure you're well taken care of.
