Things To Do

Castle tour

Castle tour

Calle el Vigia, Ponce, 00730, Puerto Rico
, 787-259-1775

This castle will be our venue 😁 . They are also a museum and do tours during the day so if you’d like an in depth tour of the place I would highly recommend doing a tour. They are open from Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-3:45pm. You also have access to their Japanese garden and a butterfly garden as well when you purchase a tour ticket to the museum. Fun fact: If you ever watched the Disney Channel movie “Princess Protection Program” featuring Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, this is where they filmed part of the movie!

Calle Union, Ponce, 00730, Puerto Rico

If you’re looking for some really good Puerto Rican food, this is my favorite place close by. I would highly recommend the stuffed avocado meals, they are AMAZING! Also in that same place is a little park with a couple stores to shop for souvenirs to bring back home, an old fire station that you can tour for free, a great ice cream shop, an amazing Pincho (kebabs) food truck and don’t forget to try their Piraguas (snow cones). My favorite flavor is Frambuesa (red raspberry) and Tamarindo (a thick syrup poured on top) mixed together.

Casa Bacardi

Casa Bacardi

PR-888, Cataño, PR 00962, Puerto Rico
, 787-788-8400

About 1hr 40min from Ponce, you can visit the Bacardi house. This is the world’s largest rum distillery and the home of the brand itself! Here you can do tours, learn how to make your own drinks, bottle your own rum, purchase rum you can’t purchase anywhere else and hangout outside by the bar and have fun! About 20 min away you can go visit Old San Juan and check out all the historical figures.
