Folks, Annapolis is the Mecca of Maryland Blue Crab eating. We invite you to try the best local fare. We recommend the below establishments. 1. Jimmy Cantler's Riverside Inn (458 Forest Beach Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21409) 2. Mike's Restaurant & Crab House (3030 Riva Road, Riva, MD 21140)
Walk through Annapolis' downtown area. Check out the flagship US Helly Hansen store, stop into shops for coastal attire and trinkets. Enjoy a scoop of ice cream or some homemade fudge, or even the 6-pound milkshake challenge at Chick & Ruth's! Our Favorite Bars - 1. Fleet Reserve Club (Active-Duty Military ID required) 2. Federal House Bar & Grille (beer towers) 3. Davis Pub in Eastport (Maryland Irish Catholic Pub with Chesapeake Bay influence) Our Favorite Restaurants - If crabs ain't your thing 1. Chick & Ruth's (Classic American) **They do NOT serve alcohol** 2. Preserve (Modern American) 3. Davis Pub in Eastport (maritime pub fare)
Check out another side of Annapolis, where the locals live. We recommend that you check out the Annapolis Maritime Museum (open 10 AM -3 PM daily, $7 tickets) then grab a drink at the local pub, Davis Pub. Davis Pub is Annapolis' original Irish Pub (with a Chesapeake Bay twist).
We highly recommend the walking tour, which is $14. Tours happen every 30 minute from 9:30AM to 3 PM. You can get on the yard with any ID or Drivers License and just wander if you want. There is also a museum on site at Prebble Hall (118 Maryland Ave, Annapolis, MD 21402) open 9 AM - 5 PM Mon - Sat and 10 AM - 4 PM on Sunday.
