Our Story in Pictures

2014 - We didn't talk much during our first semester of college, but we definitely crossed paths several times. While paddleboarding, she was my "gunner" and tried to steal paddles from everyone else.

2015 - We first started talking Spring Break 2015, after our friends (seen here) abandoned us together on a night hike after Jessi had broken her knee. Thanks guys!

2015 - Around here is when we started dating. You can tell this was taken during the rainy season in Pueblo, CO.

2016 - Dash Point State Park in Washington, during a trip to Washington. Nick's internship in Kennewick, WA was our first exposure to being long-distance.

2017 - A camping trip to Big Creek Lakes in Colorado with the Hansen clan.

2018 - After much struggle, Jessi finally dragged Nick through college so he could get a job. While we may not have enjoyed the classes, we definitely loved the people we met at Mines.

2019 - Nick moved to upstate New York after college. Jessi often flew out to see the amazing foliage, and on some occasions, found time to see Nick as well.

2020 - After moving Jessi to her new job in Virginia, we stopped by Gatlinburg for the Hill family reunion and the Smoky Mountains.

2021 - After being long distance since 2018, we finally reunited in Virginia and took the opportunity to hike Shenandoah National Park.

2021 - As a compromise, Nick took Jessi to visit the USS Wisconsin in exchange for Jessi reliving her childhood at a Jonas Brothers concert. Nick calls this the loudest concert he has ever been to.

2022 - We welcomed Atlas to the family and braced for the next few sleepless months of having a puppy in a third-story apartment in the winter. Isn't he cute though?

2022 - At Universal Studios, we relived both of our childhoods with a visit to Diagon Alley. Jessi was an obvious Ravenclaw. Nick, ever the realist, was a Hufflepuff.

2022 - We finally managed to move home to Colorado in the summer, and celebrated with a color run. It doesn't matter what place we took, stop asking.

2022 - During Atlas' first Christmas at the Hill house in Pueblo, he learned that being in the family meant matching pajamas.

2023 - At this point, you should be realizing we had been together eight years before Nick finally popped the question. Jessi said yes at Golden Gate Canyon in the presence of an official witness.

2023 - Ignore the angry girl in the back of this picture at a luau in Maui.

2023 - Iceland dune buggy tour along the black sand beach. It wasn't actually as cold as it looks.
