We met in high school, and from the moment I saw Nick, I had a huge crush on him. I was so captivated by his athleticism that I even joined the track team just to have more chances to admire him after school. I honestly didn’t think Nick even knew I existed, but surprise—he had a crush on me too! And just when I thought he was perfect, I discovered he was also a genius in math. Turns out, he was the total package—athletic, smart, and totally worth all those extra laps around the track!

In grade 11, we found ourselves in the same physics class, and Nick was the manager of the girls' volleyball team. At every practice, I would warm up with Nick, and we started to form a special bond. I was struggling with physics, while Nick was acing it, so I’d often use homework as an excuse to message him. Our conversations grew longer, and our feelings for each other deepened. The rest, as they say, is history!

Nick and I took a leap of faith and swapped the snowy Toronto winters for sunny San Diego after Nick snagged a job at Apple as a computer engineer. I followed him to join the NICU team at a children’s hospital, proving that love (and a bit of adventure) knows no bounds. We settled into our very first apartment together and had a blast exploring all the wonders of Southern California. The cherry on top? In September 2023, Nick proposed, making this new chapter in our lives even more exciting!

We got engaged in beautiful Kauai, Hawaii! Nick surprised me with an intimate proposal on a private beach, making the moment even more special by hiring a photographer to capture it all. It was the most magical day of our lives!
