Surprise! We've decided to elope and tie the knot while exploring some beautiful spots in Northern California. We'll be celebrating our love for each other and the outdoors with an amazing photographer who will capture us enjoying our favorite activities at Mt. Shasta, Redwood National Park, and the stunning Oregon coast. We can't wait to come home and celebrate with all of you!

Nick had just started working in the Quality Lab at ACIPCO around the same time Mattie was launching a major project to automate some of the lab’s repetitive tasks. In those early days, Mattie often found herself staying late—not just to tackle the project, but also to spend time with Nick. Many evenings were filled with laughter, bubble wrap popping, and long conversations that deepened the instant connection they had felt from the start. It wasn’t long before they went on their first date—and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Nick moved to McCalla and into Mattie’s home. Shortly after that, they decided to "just look" at puppies to keep Millie, Mattie’s beloved dog, company. Of course, on their very first visit to the Humane Society, they came home with Denver. And so began a lifetime of adventures. Together, they've traveled across the U.S., exploring countless National Parks and making unforgettable memories. Along the way, Mattie has changed jobs (more than once), while Nick has remained a steady presence at ACIPCO. They’ve celebrated life’s highs and held each other through its lows. Through every joy and every sorrow, they’ve faced life’s challenges hand in hand, growing stronger together. Then, on a quiet morning, while sipping coffee in their rocking chairs on the front porch, Nick asked Mattie to marry him. She said yes, of course! Now, they’re ready to embark on their greatest adventure yet—marriage.
