Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We're dressing to the nines, and would love if you do too! Bust out your best Fall Formal vibes. Autumn textures and colors encouraged! Think: plaids, jewel or earthy tones, fall florals, etc. Footwear note: Shoes that can be worn in grass, gravel, grates and cobblestone are recommended, like block heels, wedges, flats, or similar styles {stilettos not advised}. You can use our welcome bags to carry an extra pair if you'd like a quick costume change. Mens' dress shoes should be just fine.

Question

Your wedding is at the top of the mountain?! How will we get there? What if I'm afraid of heights?

Answer

Weather permitting, we'll have our ceremony on the yoga deck at the summit! All guests will board the gondola for a complimentary 8-10 minute ride to the top, and then back down again after the ceremony. (We promise it's not scary.) The gondola moves slowly for loading/unloading, and can be stopped to accomodate anyone who may need extra time to board. The views of the Green Mountains are gorgeous, so don't forget to take it all in! When you get to the top, the summit is flat, and the yoga deck will be closeby. Please see the footwear attire note above for recommendations. All guests need to be loaded by 3:45PM to make it up for the ceremony, and 4:55PM to come back down. We recommend if you'd like to spend more time at the top to explore or take photos, that you come up early! The last gondola down will depart at 4:55PM, so it's vital you board in time, or else you'll miss cocktail hour and have to walk down the mountain, which takes quite a bit longer than skiing down it. :) If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

The rain location of our ceremony is the Stratton Mountain Club, which is the location of the reception. There will be Stratton ushers and signage to guide the way! In the event of a location change, we will reach out to the email you RSVPed with, and will do our best to post signage in the lobbies of each building in our room block if there are any changes.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from wedding events?

Answer

The short answer is no, unless you require additional time or accommodation. All wedding events are within a short walk from our lodging block. A map of the village and all wedding weekend events will be available to you in your welcome bags, and at the welcome center at the start of the village.

Question

What about the kiddos?

Answer

While we would love to invite everyone to the party, our venue has strict capacity limits, so we've limited our wedding weekend events to adults only. We hope you understand!

Question

When we arrive, where do we check in?

Answer

Please visit the Stratton Welcome Center to check into your room block. There you can collect your welcome bags, a map of the resort, and grab your room keys!

Question

Is there free parking available?

Answer

Yes! There's a complementary underground parking garage if you're staying in the room block / Stratton village. Parking is also available right behind the village. When you drive up the access road, you can't miss it on the right.

Question

Where's the nearest grocery / liquor store?

Answer

Many rooms in our lodging block are suite-style with kitchens. The Stratton Mountain Market and Deli in the village should have most essentials you may need, but there are a few markets at the bottom of the access road as well!
