We met the spring of our junior year of high school. We both lived in the same town but went to two different schools. Somehow we had never run into each other despite knowing some of the same people. Brianna's brother, Jared, invited some friends over to watch the Bruins play in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2011 and luckily enough Nick came, too. The Bruins lost to Tampa Bay that game, but the night was a win for the two of us. We spent more and more time together that summer and officially started dating on September 16, 2011.
In Nick's words: "The first time I took Brianna to Nantucket, I felt a connection I had never felt before. It was so strong that I felt invincible. She could predict what I was going to do or say at any given moment, which was adorable. When I thought about marrying her, I knew that I had to propose to her in Nantucket - the place I fell in love with her, realized I was the best version of myself with her and realized we were soulmates. When we got to the lighthouse and I told her to turn around my life changed forever in the best way possible." Read our story on How They Asked: https://howtheyasked.com/brianna-and-nicholas-1/
Brianna visited Newport for the first time with her mom the summer of the same year she met Nick. While they toured Rosecliff Mansion she turned to her Mom and said, "I'm going to get married here someday." Brianna and Nick started dating and eventually she told Nick her dream. Nick and her mom worked together to make her dream a reality. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone at Rosecliff!
