Flight
Kiawah Island is 33 miles from the Charleston airport and is about a 45 minute drive. Usually there is no issue using a ride-hailing app to get from the airport out to the island or car rentals can be picked up from the airport. We would highly recommend renting a car if you are not staying at the resort as Uber/Lyft is not available on the island itself. The second half of the drive to Kiawah is beautiful if you arrive in the light! If you are staying at The Sanctuary Resort or book a villa through Kiawah Island Golf Resort, you can also arrange transportation to and from the airport through the concierge.
