Maid of Honor
When Emily's family moved to Billings and she began the third grade, the trio was born! Along with Brenna, Nichole and Emily spent many nights with slumber parties, getting dressed up for school dances, and making home 'movies' throughout childhood, Since moving to Bozeman for college Emily has been Nichole's confidant, roommate, adventure buddy, and most of all best friend. She is the first person Nichole thinks of when she wants to go on an adventure, a girl's trip or just to go get a drink. Simply put, Emily is Nichole's go to person through all of life's ups and downs.
Best Man
Mark is more than the brother of the groom. He has always been the one Paul looks up to the most as a role model. Growing up together they had a brotherly rivalry but they always have one another's backs when it matters the most. There is a photo out there somewhere of them as toddlers with Mark standing on Paul's back reaching for a cookie jar with both of them atop a mountain of chairs in front of the refrigerator. Somehow they gained access to the cookie jar and nothing collapsed. Their mother was so impressed that she had to take a photo. Since they were small, Mark and Paul have shared an unbreakable bond as brothers and as friends.
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Nichole met each other through some mutual friends in highschool. Brooke became a mainstay throughout Nichole's teenage years with youth group, mission trips, school dances, and late night coffee shop hangouts. Since college Brooke went to Montana Tech in Butte and with Nichole in Bozeman they both tried to see each other as much as their busy schedules would allow. Nichole's favorite memory with Brooke is camp counseling in Red Lodge, MT together and taking their 3 day weekend to go to a country festival in Tooele, UT.
Groomsman
Carter and Paul met in the 2015/16 ski season instructing at Bridger Bowl. Since their first season skiing at Bridger, Carter and Paul became close friends. They have shared countless adventures together skiing, mountain biking, hiking, brewing their own beer, golfing and so much more. One of Paul's favorite memories with Carter is their trip to ski Squaw Valley. They played the game of G.N.A.R in the place where the game began. Although the details of who won that game have since been lost (Carter probably won), all they remember are the shenanigans and the fun times. Carter is Paul's closet friend in Bozeman and is the first person he turns to for just about anything.
Bridesmaid
Tamara or 'Mara' is Nichole's oldest friend, these two met when they were only 3 and 4 years old! These two used to joke about being each other's 40 year fallback(where if we both never met 'the one' then we would marry as best friends) and have many unforgettable memories together. Through times of being super close or being distant, the friendship they share is beyond anything they have or could ever go through. Some of Nichole's favorite memories with her are screaming punk music on car rides and celebrating Nichole's 21st birthday in Las Vegas. Mara and Nichole consider the other as the sister God intended the other to have as they are almost exactly 9 months apart!
Groomsman
Ethan and Paul met their sophomore year of college at Montana State in 2012. They became close friends quickly as they shared many classes together in the Earth Science-Geology program. Over the years Paul and Ethan have shared many beers together and have endless stories to tell from their college years. They live over 2000 miles apart from one another now, but whenever they get together they just pick up from where they left off.
Bridesmaid
Brenna and Nichole lived two blocks away from each other and went to all of the same schooling from 2nd grade through senior year of highschool. She is the last but not least part of the third grade trio! Being so close turned into many walking to school adventures and late night sleepovers galore. Brenna always can put a smile on anyone's face and is the best storyteller of the group. Nichole and her pick up right where they left off whenever they get together and there is always a lot of love between the two. These two used to love to sing together and even did a summer caroling show for Jody featuring the 'Shrek the Halls' album. There are too many inside jokes to count, but any one of them will never fail to get these girls to laugh aloud!
Groomsman
Garrett and Paul met in 2013 when they became housemates while they were in college. Paul and Garrett quickly became friends and remained housemates for another five years. Garrett has always been one to make people laugh, and in their time as housemates Garrett did exactly that on a daily basis. Ask him about the time he put a photo inside Paul's ski helmet behind the goggles to make it appear as if there was a head already inside the helmet. It was a harmless prank that manifested perfectly for comedic effect. Paul did not find the photo until he was in the middle of a snow dynamics lab in the Bridger Mountains. Paul had to explain to most of the class and his professor why he tossed his helmet in fright.
Bridesmaid
Cassie is Nichole's best 'yes' friend. Cass almost always says yes to spontaneous adventures or things to do with very little time in advance. She and Nichole have been friend's since freshman year of highschool when they met through Emily. Nichole's favorite memories include late car talks sitting in our driveways and getting Denny's at obnoxious hours after rock concerts. She is very easy going which matches Nichole's random thoughts and ideas well, and they can always find more and more to talk about. Cassie is always making puns or small jokes that can't help but make you smile.
Groomsman
Joe and Paul met in the winter of 2016/17 as coworkers in the ski school at the Yellowstone Club. They quickly became friends and have shared many memories together both on and off the mountain. Joe is a conversationalist and him an Paul's talks always last for hours. They enjoy eachother's company more than whatever activity is going on.
Bridesman
When thinking of who to have stand next to Nichole on her big day, she couldn't imagine getting married without her brother on her side. The two have been through so much growing up together and they grew very close into adulthood. Nichole's favorite memories with Steve include playing video games together when they were young and when she flew out to Seattle to see him. They did a few hikes, saw the coastline, and checked out some breweries in the big city! These two's bond is something they rely on when times are tough and cherish in times of celebration. Nichole would not be the same without her longest friend!
Groomswoman
Marcie is a must when choosing Paul's groomsmen as she is his oldest friend from college. Marcie was always the one to keep Paul 'on track' in school. They are each other's go-to person for life and relationship advice. Marcie's loyalty and honesty is a huge part of why these two have been friends for 11 years.
Flower Girl
Ring Bearer
Odin is Nichole and Paul's 1 and a half year old Norwegian Elkhound. Odin came to them in November of 2020 at 8 weeks old and their lives changed forever. Odin goes with Nichole and Paul pretty much everywhere they go as long as dogs are allowed, so it's only fitting that he be involved in their wedding. Some of Odin's favorite activities are hiking in the mountains, fishing in the rivers and lakes, chasing birds, playing soccer in the backyard, and hanging out in front of the air conditioner on hot summer days. His favorite season by far is winter though. As the snow gets deeper and the temperature drops, the more he demands to be outside. He is definitely a huge fan of Montana's long winters. Elkhounds were first bred to hunt large game by the Vikings in Scandinavia and you can see every single piece of that heritage in Odin's personality.
