Mack and Nicci’s story began in March 2022 after matching on Bumble. Their first date - grabbing drinks and seeing The Batman - was simple, but it set everything in motion. Over cocktails, Mack had mentioned his love of Harry Potter, and Nicci, unsure if there would even be a second date, smiled and pretended she loved it just as much. She had no idea that this would be the first of many dates, nor that her small lie would result in months of Harry Potter themed gifts. Nearly a year later, Nicci finally admitted she didn’t actually like Harry Potter that much and now her "love" for Harry Potter is one of their favorite inside jokes. As their relationship grew, so did their life together. They moved to Chicago with one very spoiled cat in tow, and later adopted a second, completing their little family. Together they bonded over shared passions - movie nights, anime marathons, exploring new restaurants, and traveling the world. In just a few years, they’ve visited nine countries and countless cities, collecting memories everywhere they go. And in July 2025, during Nicci’s 30th birthday trip to Orlando, Mack brought their story full circle. He proposed right in front of Hogwarts - perfectly tying together their inside jokes, their adventures, and the journey that began with a movie date and a Bumble match.
