One of my favorite Beaches on the big Island! White sand beach, crystal clear water, and a small beach cave that fun for kids to play in. It’s about 20 mins from town and popular with both locals and visitors.
If your up for a hike with great views and maybe in search for a black sand beach this may be the adventure for you! The hike is about 1 mile round trip but has steep terrain switchbacks. Hawi is a tiny town you drive through on the way is fun to check out! Grab an ice cream, coffee or lunch!
This place is has become a staple as it is where Jason and I met while I was bartending. This place had become the headquarters of meeting before adventurers. Serving breakfast at Huggos proper 7-11, and On the Rocks open at 11 for lunch. (Happy Hour everyday with live music from 3-5pm)
One of my favorite places! The stars are incredible and you can look at them through some of the best telescopes. Dress warm! It does snow at this elevation (13,803 ft) you will need 4 wheel drive to be aloud to go to the top, and must get there before they don’t allow people in by 5pm! Sunsets and sun rises are also ideal times to experience the top of this volcano.
A breath taking location! If you have 4 wheel drive you can drive down and find a black sand beach with waterfalls and wild horses. The road down to the valley is considered one of the steepest roads in the world at a 25% grade. There is usually someone at the road assuring drivers have 4x4 so it is a MUST for absolute safety.
Fun way to travel for the day! Going ziplining for the day, or a helicopter ride? Have a blast getting to and from your destination in a Big Island Buggy! They deliver the buggy right to your doorstep, so you can head out for your adventure! Also, you can get a discount if you mention your attending Nichole and Jason Mercado’s wedding!
Kona's #1 marine encounter! Start your adventure by watching one of our legendary Kona sunsets as we sail along the Kona coast to our snorkel destination (Manta Ray Village). Once we arrive at the snorkel location, receive a full safety briefing before joining our guides in the water to snorkel with the majestic hahalua (manta rays). Afterwards, join us back on the boat for hot cocoa, hot tea and chocolate chip cookies enjoying the lights of Kona town as we make our back to the pier. Trip includes all snorkel equipment (with instruction), T-top wetsuits and all non-alcoholic beverages, with beer, wine and spirits available for purchase.
