We're Tying The Knot!

The fall of 2015 Jarrett had just graduated from University of Portland & I was still going to school at Portland State. During October of 2015 one of my best friends Kayley King had told me about this guy she was thinking about going on a date with, but she was hesitant to go alone. After reluctantly saying no & her begging me to come along as a "wing-woman" I finally gave in and agreed to go. On the other side of the story, Jarrett had also been talked into going on this date by his friend Erik. So there the two of us were..dragged into a date not knowing who each other were or what the other person looked like. I knew there was something special in Jarrett when he actually agreed to blast my (at the time) favorite Justin Bieber song as we drove to the restaurant. Obviously the date went smooth, as the next day Jarrett asked me on another date. From there the rest has been an adventure. We dated for a little over a year, having fun getting to know each other, our families, friends, playing on sports teams together, making dinners, and definitely lots of laughing. Oh, and how could I forget...we also got our fur-baby Cally. February 12, 2017 Jarrett proposed at the top of the South Lake Tahoe gondola on a beautiful blue-sky day. Of course I said "YES!" :) We bought a house in Tri Cities, WA last year, deciding it was time to leave Portland and settle somewhere less crowded that was close to family. Jarrett is working at Amazon in town as a Financial Analyst. I graduated last August from Linfield College, and now work as a nurse in the area.
