It all started with beer... We met while working at Belching Beaver Brewery. He was a brewer and she was a bartender. During their first year of being friends, Brian would come in every night shift Nichole was working alone to keep her company, help her close down the bar, and ensure she got to her car safely. After a coworker's night out, Nichole had one too many cocktails and spent the night on Brian's couch. When she went to go say goodbye to him the morning after, he gave her a kiss and the rest was history.

4 years of shenanigans later, Brian took Nichole to the sunflower field in Carlsbad for what she thought was just a lovely stroll through her favorite flower maze. She always thought she would know exactly when and where he was going to propose(we all know that Brian can't keep a secret) but she was completely SHOCKED when he dropped to one knee and opened a tiny box that would change our lives forever. She was so surprised that she couldn't find the words to say, so she immediately started sweating. We don't know if she was sweating because she was so overwhelmed with joy or because Brian took her to their favorite sushi joint the night prior for saki bombs. Either way, she was extatic!💛 So was Brian....
