Massachusetts Governor Baker has ordered that all travelers from outside Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Vermont complete an on-line travel form found at mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order. On the form a traveler certifies and signs that they 1) received a negative COVID-19 test result at most 72 hours prior to arrival in Massachusetts, 2) plans to take a test and quarantine until they get a negative result, 3) have taken a COVID-19 test and will quarantine until receiving a negative result, or 4) will quarantine for 14 days (or their whole trip, whichever is longer) upon arrival in Massachusetts (mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order). Failure to comply with these requirements “may result in a $500 fine per day,” enforced by “the honor system” (commonwealthmagazine.org/health/baker-launches-tougher-honor-system-for-travelers/).
Testing is readily available in the Boston/Cambridge area for free, with advance appointment. We have heard that results usually come back within a day or two. Information about testing in Massachusetts, including a link to an interactive map of testing sites is available at mass.gov/info-details/about-covid-19-testing.
Guests will be required to wear masks, except when seated for lunch. Ceremony seats will be placed at least six feet apart. Our reception will take the form of a picnic-style lunch. We will provide picnic blankets for guests to enjoy on the Estate's lawns, to allow guests to sit with whomever they like, at whatever distancing is appropriate for them. Hand sanitizer will be available, and catering staff will wear masks and gloves. While most guests will sit on picnic blankets, a limited number of table seats will be available for guests who request them.
