Our story started long before we ever started dating. We’ve known each other for most of our lives. We went to elementary school together for a couple of years, then ended up at the same middle and high schools. Even though we’d gone to the same schools for years, we didn’t start talking until we both ended up at different schools. Not long after that, we went on our first date, a movie date in Birch Run, and about a week later, we officially started dating. The very next year, during our senior year, we both went to culinary school, which gave us the chance to spend a few hours together every day. When Covid hit in March, it cut our senior year short and we weren’t able to finish out culinary school, but we stayed close and got through it together. After high school, we both started working full-time and eventually moved in together. Last year, in June, we brought home our dog Winnie, who has completely stolen our hearts. Then, on September 6, 2025, he proposed, marking the start of our next chapter together. From that first movie date to the proposal seven years later, it’s been a journey of growing up, figuring out life, and doing it all side by side.
