Nick and I first met as acquaintances as medical scribes at Virginia Mason Memorial in Yakima, where we worked side by side with our follow scribes in the emergency department. At the time, Nick was my boss and I was the outgoing trainer for new scribes and we got to work even closer together. I would occasionally invite Nick out to the bars or over to my place with other friends of mine to play poker and hangout. Eventually, Nick got up the courage to ask me out on a date on St. Patrick's Day to a bar. I thought that he was really nice but quiet at work, though perhaps he was more chatty outside of work or big social groups, so I agreed. On the date, I surprisingly met his family and after we hung out just the two of us. We quickly learned that we had a lot in common and it was very easy to talk to each other about anything. Late that night after I had gone back to the house I was sitting for, Nick asked if we could have another date, which I gladly agreed to! We continued to go out on dates such as shooting, dinners, movies etc but finally after a date, I could tell that he wanted to kiss me but was too nervous so I took the initiative and kiss him. We officially called ourselves a couple in April 2018 and have enjoyed everyday together since!
