Maid of Honor
Chelsea is my younger sister, and honestly, there’s no one else I’d rather have by my side. I was just a toddler when I got a baby sister, and from that very first moment, we were inseparable. Growing up, we did everything together — sports, theater, plotting backseat shenanigans on road trips, and countless hours with our American Girl dolls and Webkinz. There was never a dull moment when we were together from the beginning when you would crack me up with your iconic cross-eyed face and she always had my back. Chelsea has always been my biggest cheerleader, supporting me through every wild idea (and sometimes dragging me into a few of her own). She has this incredible way of celebrating the people she loves — like when she poured so much time and effort into throwing Nic and me a surprise engagement party, going above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Even now, she continues to inspire me with her kindness, humor, and loyalty. From our childhood adventures to the person she has become today, I feel so lucky to have grown up with her. I’m beyond excited to have Chelsea by my side as I step into this next chapter of life, knowing she’ll be there to cheer, laugh, and maybe even plot a little mischief along the way.
Matron of Honor
Danica is my best friend, and I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without her. We met my freshman year of college — she was the TA for my biology and chemistry labs — and somehow I got to start and end my Tuesdays with her. Our friendship blossomed quickly. She would swing by my desk early in the morning when I opened the library just to entertain me, and she brought me snacks because, let’s be real, my eating schedule in college was a disaster. Danica was convinced I was going to end up marrying a dolphin, but she tried her best to “help” my love life anyway — posting on her Instagram stories and even on the TVs in our study rooms that I was single. We survived countless late-night Cookouts and Sheetz runs, and I may have accidentally drugged her with Benadryl when she had an allergic reaction to my dog during finals week. When she and her now-husband John started dating, I became their permanent third wheel, and Chick-fil-A became a Wednesday-night tradition — the crew knew we were coming every week. We’ve walked through so many highs and lows, supported each other through every season of life, and I am so thankful to have her by my side on this next adventure. Danica is the kindest, most thoughtful friend, and I truly can’t imagine doing this without her.
Best Man
Janco is one of my best friends that came unexpectedly. We went to the same primary school a few years apart from each other, but we only became friends after a memorable night out as college students. After that night we made plans every week. And that is where it all begin, a friendship that will last a lifetime. We get along very well. Janco has been a person I have been able to talk to about anything, has been there for me when I have needed him and supported me through everything. He is kind hearted, life of the party, always has a very positive-outlook and generous to those around him. I am honored to be able to have him as my Best Man.
Bridesmaid
Madeline and I met at church near the end of elementary school, thanks to our parents becoming friends. One of my very first memories of her is doing kids praise team together. By the end of middle school, she joined our summer swim team, and from then on we spent countless summers swimming together with the Stingrays and playing at the pool for hours after practice. That’s also where she met her now-husband Ben, the tall goofball of our friend group. I’ve been so thankful for Madeline’s consistent friendship over the years — from sitting through convocations with her hall freshman year to sharing countless lunches at the Rot. Listening to her tell stories always makes me laugh, and I love how unashamedly and authentically herself she is. It’s been such a joy to walk through life with her, from her wedding to Ben to now seeing her as a mom to Shepherd, and I feel so lucky to have her standing with me as I start this next chapter.
Groomsman
Aden and I were in the same primary school but we only later became best friends while at college. Aden is someone I could ask on any given day to go do something and he would most likely say yes. We have had many memories in a short time together. I am honored to have saved his life while he was having an allergic reaction while driving back from the beach. (Janco was also involved in the saving of his life) I am grateful to be able to have him as one of my groomsman on this very special day.
Bridesmaid
I met Miranda back in middle school when I joined the Wildwood Stingrays swim team. Her whole family was so sweet and welcoming, and she quickly became one of my first real friends on the team. As time went on, our coaches decided to torture us by putting us in every butterfly event they could. One of my favorite memories is when Miranda, her sister Faith, and I were the only ones swimming the 50m fly — just the three of us — while our entire team chanted “Clash of the Titans” like it was some epic showdown. Miranda ended up coming to Liberty partway through my freshman year, and I was so grateful to have her there as such a good friend. I admire her strength, her resilience, and the way she loves people so deeply. She has a way of making everyone around her feel valued and seen. We’ve walked through so many highs and lows and seasons of life together, and I’m so thankful to have her by my side for this one too.
Groomsman
Jared was one my supervisors my first year at Wintergreen and one of Sydney's great friends. As a J1 exchange student, there were a lot of cultural trips that we both went on and was able to get to know him a bit in my first year in America. After dating Sydney, we quickly became friends and is someone I can always come to for advice and will always make time in his busy schedule to spend time with me and Sydney. He is a great person and he is always working hard with all the jobs he does and I am glad I get to have him as one of my groomsman
Bridesmaid
I met Nadia during my first season at Wintergreen. We hung out here and there, but it was the conversation we had in the car on our very last day on the mountain that really sparked the beginning of a lifelong friendship. We spent two seasons as roommates and coworkers, but somewhere in the middle of ski days, late-night talks, and shared chaos, she became one of my best friends. Nadia has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders. On bad days, she was the first to give me the biggest hug, and she walked with me through so many hard seasons and tears. She is genuinely one of the coolest people I know. I’ve loved skiing together, laughing in the lift office, and finding my desk covered in sticky notes from her. She is so kind to everyone she meets, and I admire that so much about her. Getting to spend this season of engagement together — and celebrate our weddings just a couple of months apart — has been so special. I’m incredibly thankful to have her by my side.
Groomsman
Cesar is someone I met while working my first season at Wintergreen at the Tubing park and bonded during the hours put in on a lot of cold and rainy days together which grew the brother bond. One thing about Cesar is he always had a smile on his face through it all. Cesar is a person who I can call anytime of the day in any situation, and he will help me out no matter what. He is such an innocent kind-hearted guy (and he is single ladies) and I am honored to have him as one of my groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Taneeka is Nic’s sister, and from the very beginning, she made me feel like part of the family. Even before we officially met, we had talked a lot over WhatsApp and Instagram — especially once she started “stalking” me when Nic and I first started dating. She even helped me brainstorm ideas for his birthday when we had only been together a month and I needed inspiration. When I finally got to meet her in person on our trip to South Africa, she greeted me with so much kindness and warmth the moment I stepped off the plane. She included me in all the things, and we had so much fun together. I loved getting to know her — not just through the time we spent together, but also by seeing how loved she is by her family and friends, especially as we celebrated her birthday during our visit. I am so incredibly thankful to be gaining her as a sister and can’t wait for all the memories we’ll make in the years ahead.
Groomsman
Benito, my favorite roommate. Benito has been my roommate for the past 18 months and it has been an adventure. Benito has a good heart and always puts his friends first. When life got lonely sometimes, Benito helped make my time at Wintergreen an amazing place to be at and we always supported each other when needed. He is a funny guy and we have been through a lot together. Living together for 18 months lets you learn a lot about each other and I feel like I know him like a brother and I am so glad he will be able to one of my groomsman.
