Check in is at 3 pm but if you arrive earlier, you can access the Estate from noon to enjoy lunch and bar service. Check out is at 10 AM. In case of early check-in or late check-out the cost is: $30 per hour / per room. It must be requested in advance and for a limited number of rooms. Although we are accommodating guests by room, a couple of the on site villas may include shared common spaces. We’ll confirm all details individually after our April visit. Please note, each room has its own bathroom. Let us know any preferences or concerns!
For the welcome event, dressy casual is perfect. Our wedding day attire is formal. Guests are encouraged to wear suits, cocktail dresses or floor-length gowns.
Most guests will fly into Rome (FCO) or Florence (FLR). From either city, it’s about a 1-3 hour drive to Tuscany. We recommend booking your car rental or private transfer in advance for the smoothest trip.
We’re so sorry, but the villa is reserved exclusively for our wedding guests, so we’re unable to accommodate outside visitors. If you’re traveling with others, we’d be happy to help arrange accommodations at a nearby offsite villa owned by Casa Cornacchi.
Tuscany in July is typically hot and sunny, the height of summer! Expect daytime highs in the 80s–90s°F and warm evenings. Light, breathable fabrics are perfect!
Yes! Casa Cornacchi has an on-site bar and bistro serving drinks and seasonal dishes daily available for purchase. Room and poolside service are also available for added convenience.
The closest grocery store is called COOP supermarket. Which is in the village BUCINE (Via Fratelli Bandiera, 2/a, 52021 Bucine AR), it is a 20 minute drive. The largest COOP is located in the town of MONTEVARCHI ( Via dell'Oleandro, 37, 52025 Montevarchi AR), it is a 30 minute drive.
Booking & Logistics: - Be sure to switch all websites to English (look for a flag icon or language toggle, sometimes you need to click around to find it). - Download Google Maps (apple maps is not commonly used in Italy and may take you to wrong destination, which we've experienced). - Keep digital and printed copies of passports and tickets. - Book trains and rental cars in advance when possible. Daily Life: - Expect mid-afternoon riposo closures, especially in smaller towns. - Carry some cash. - Many shops are closed or have limited hours on Sundays, especially outside major cities. Transportation: - Validate regional train tickets before boarding. - Book taxis in advance in smaller towns. - Train schedules may change, so it’s helpful to check them the day before travel. - Allow extra travel time, things often take longer than expected. On Foot & Dining: - Wear comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets. - Enjoy long, relaxed meals, service is intentionally unhurried. - In popular cities such as Rome, if you plan to rent a car, it’s best to leave it parked at your accommodation.
