We met at the Bellamy pool party where we were both living at the time. My roommate ended up inviting a group of guys who had just won shirts by participating in a twerking contest back to our apartment. We ended up talking most of the night and finding many similarities with each other. We exchanged numbers and never stopped talking.

We went on a vacation to Corolla with his family for a week. When it was time to get family pictures on the beach with the photographer, we got a picture of the whole family and then began taking pictures of individual family units. After we had taken a couple pictures of just the two of us I began to walk away so the next family unit could go, but I was called back. When I looked around, he was down on one knee holding the ring. I nodded yes and we were engaged. His family congratulated us and we all went back to the house to celebrate!
