We've known each other since I moved to Pullman in 2021. Nick's entire friend group just adopted me and we all got pretty close. We didn't really talk or hang out much until the summer of 2023 when I came back to Pullman at the end of June. Our time together went from sending instagram reels to texting, to watching movies together. Then came the 4th of July where our group of friends all went out to do a barbecue and go watch the fireworks at Sunnyside Park. We had a wonderful time and started really connecting. That night, we stayed up late to watch a movie afterwards even though Nick had to be on a plane headed to Rome, Italy early that morning. After texting back and forth that whole week, I picked him up from the airport and we planned to go stargazing the next night for what we considered our first date, July 13th and became our anniversary. We were able to get comfortable with each other and be our goofy selves so quickly and it just felt right. We were meant to be together. We've had such a wonderful time growing closer to each other as time went on from him coming with me to my Spokane classes to going hiking and then a Moses Lake temple open house trip with our friends. While at the temple, that was the moment that I knew I was going to marry him, it felt so right being with him in the temple and I had such a strong feeling that I was with the person I was meant to spend forever with. Months go by and after a fun Christmas break where we spent time with each other's families, we had already begun planning for a wedding. Our engagement became official on January 20th where Nick secretly planned a trip for us and our closest friends to go to the Moses Lake temple where he proposed and of course I said yes. We finished off a perfect day by going out to eat a fancy dinner at Wendy's. We've continued to make exciting plans for the future and are so excited for the day we can be sealed in the Lord's house for time and all eternity.
