Where should I stay?

Answer

If you have never visited the area before, we recommend staying in or near downtown Portsmouth where there are many hotels and Airbnbs to choose from. Please see the “Travel” page for hotel blocks and suggestions.

What is the dress code?

Please dress in formal attire for the evening.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We are providing a shuttle service from The Holiday Inn Express in Durham and The Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central to The Thompson Inn prior to the ceremony, and at the end of the reception. There is also parking available at the venue if you would prefer to drive yourself.

Are my children invited as well?

Answer

While we love all of your children, we are inviting you to enjoy an adults-only night out with us.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM. We invite you to arrive up to half an hour prior to enjoy light refreshments on the inn porch and to find a seat.

Will any of the festivities take place outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. During the cocktail hour you will be able to stay indoors or enjoy the wraparound porch with outdoor heaters. New Hampshire in November can be quite cold so we do recommend you bring a coat.
