How We Met

Nicholas and Megan have a love story that was destined to be told to the ears of those willing to believe in fate with a touch of magic. Picture the day, November 11th, 2009, when a couple Communication kids had been forced to raised funds for veterans in Indiana as a way to help improve the lives of those that have served our country for a passing grade in their class. Megan was aware of Nicholas as the good-looking guy who didn’t speak much and sat in the front row who was very much noticed by the girls in the class and her friend, Justin but didn’t feel that he would be interested in talking to the obnoxious girl in the back, who was very interested in using her fake ID around the city. As that event started, Megan was panhandling around democracy plaza with Justin to get donations, while Nicholas was stringing donuts up in a game that he thought was absolutely absurd. As the event neared close, Megan noticed that donuts were available and the good-looking kid was working the booth. With a rumbling tummy and her moon boots, she approached the thick haired man with the perfect smile and kindly asked if she could grab an extra donut. Saving her the embarrassment of eating the donut from the string, the chivalrous chap kindly handed her a free donut. Conversation was kept to a minimal but Megan couldn’t stop herself from smiling the rest of the day. A few days passed and both began to forget about the interaction until Nicholas found himself clocking into T.C.C. on campus at 8am where he ran into the dark-haired beauty that he finally got a chance to speak to at Harvest for Hope as she was finishing her graveyard shift that Monday morning. As she smiled to welcome him to the team, little did they know how important that other person would be sitting next to them at the consultant station. A decade and half later with the most perfect daughter, those two rolled through the chaos to finally decide to legally stamp their union with the love and support of the ones who watched the journey from their front row seat.
