Our Story

Nick and Meg first crossed paths at the Brew City Catholic Retreat in 2025. It wasn’t a love-at-first sight moment, but something quieter. In God’s providence, the first small seeds of affection were planted with a little help from Sister Anchilla Joy. From that seemingly ordinary evening in the Schoenstatt Retreat Center dining hall, something extraordinary began. After that first meeting, Nick and Meg grew in their love for each other. From exploring countless hiking trails in SE WI, ranking every beer garden in Milwaukee, having lakeside picnics, and long talks over the phone when Meg was away, those early seeds grew into a deep and joyful love. What began as two strangers simply showing up to a retreat became two souls discovering in each other a shared desire for God, for virtue, and for a life built on faith. Over the next few months came longer conversations, richer prayers and a deepening affection. Exactly one year later, that love blossomed into a mid-week, surprise proposal. A proposal rooted not only in emotion, but in conviction. Nick and Meg had become united in the belief that the purpose of their marriage is nothing less than helping one another reach Heaven and to enjoy the journey along the way. They look forward to a lifetime of walking side by side together. Whether their adventures lead them through fields, forests, city streets or hopefully all of the above; it will be a life of growing, laughing, praying, and choosing each other every day. Their hope is simple and profound, to love one another more with each sunrise, and to grow in holiness together, always striving for the ultimate goal of sainthood.
