Travel Note
We HIGHLY encourage booking your travel plans as early as possible, as August is busy season for Italy! Please plan to arrive in Varenna on Sunday for check-in at the Villa! If you would like to come early, there are a number of hotels and Airbnbs located within walking distance of Villa Cipressi to stay at prior to check-in! Varenna is easily accessible to other parts of the lake by ferry and train if you wish to explore another town on the lake beforehand! The EU will start requiring an ETIAS Visa to travel to Europe mid 2025, however, this has been delayed several times. This travel visa will cost 7 euro and be active for three years. ETIAS is currently not in operation and no applications are being collected at this point. More details will be posted as information becomes available. https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en
Hotel
We have reserved Hotel Villa Cipressi in exclusivity for August 3rd and August 4th. Room assignments will be arranged and we will reach out at a later date. Breakfast is included on both the mornings of August 4th and August 5th. If you would like to extend your stay after the wedding, please email the hotel at info@hotelvillacipressi.it with our wedding weekend information for a 10% discount.
Flight
Milan-Malpensa airport (MXP) is the easiest airport to fly into to reach Varenna on Lake Como.
Train
The trains are incredibly easy and affordable when traveling around Italy. You will need to take the train from the Milan airport to Milano Centrale Station to connect via Trenord Railways. Your final destination will be Varenna-Esino train station. Hotel
We recommend staying at Hotel Villa Cipressi's sister property if you choose to arrive early. Hotel Royal Victoria is walking distance from Hotel Villa Cipressi. You can book your room directly through the hotel website.
