Nick and I matched on Tinder in February of 2021. After several games of iMessage pool, it was clear I had lied about my skills. At the time, Nick was living in Fort Worth, and I was attending college at A&M, so we didn't get to go on our first date until a month later. When we finally met, our first date lasted eight hours! We spent three of those hours in downtown Bryan, Texas, jokingly arguing over a painting in a barbershop we saw from a street-side window. The next morning, Nick sent me a picture from the barbershop's Facebook page proving he was right: the picture was of antique cars. For the next year and a half, we spent our weekends switching off between Fort Worth and College Station, making the most of our time together despite the distance. Finally, in July 2022, our long-distance relationship came to an end, and we've been inseparable ever since. In July 2023, Nick proposed! I was adamant that I wanted to be surprised, but I accidentally tried to ruin it at every turn. Nick had a very elaborate plan which included giving our friends maps of downtown Fort Worth, detailing where they weren't allowed to go on the night of the proposal. He even got a print of the picture from the barbershop we stood in front of for hours on our first date, and placed it in a barbershop in downtown Fort Worth. After the proposal, all of our friends and family met us at Flying Saucer for a celebration. It was truly the best surprise ever! We can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of our love story with all of you!
