What is the wedding theme and colors?

Answer

The theme is enchanted forest. Colors include forest shades of green, sage/thyme green, dark-medium shades of blue, light/soft pink, rose gold, and white. See picture above for reference.

What is the attire?

Answer

Formal attire is required for this event. Anything goes after 9:00pm

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No open bar. Champagne and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. This is not a dry wedding, you are welcome to bring any drinks of your choice, alcoholic or not. Fridge space should be available, you can also bring a cooler.

What are the dinner options?

Jason Hughes is smoking up pork butt and brisket. Sides to be determined.

What kind of cake?

Answer

Red velvet and cream cheese frosting. The bride and groom will have a small cake to cut, the rest will be cupcakes for guests to enjoy!

My invitation is to the reception only, can I come early?

Answer

Yes you are free to come early and wonder the grounds. The ceremony is a private event in the chapel, please do not disturb. The reception does not officially start until 4 pm. Snacks and drinks will not be provided until then. Please see schedule for more info.

Question

Can I stay the night?

Answer

There are family members that will be staying for the whole weekend (Fri-Sun). Guests who come to the event day of are welcome to stay the night and drive home in the morning. Keep in mind, all beds will be claimed by family staying the whole weekend. There is plenty of space for air mattresses or feel free to take a couch. There is no rush for anyone to leave on Sunday. The newlyweds would like to enjoy a night to themselves so we ask that all guests depart before the evening.

For those staying all weekend, what is the plan for food?

Answer

There is a planned dinner Friday night and a planned breakfast Sunday morning. Fend for yourself Saturday morning/afternoon, kitchen is available for use. Of course snacks and dinner will be provided during the event. General snack items will be available to the household over the weekend. If there are any picker eaters or you have preferred snack items you can bring them. Be aware that whatever is in the kitchen is up for grabs. Either label or keep food that is not for sharing in your personal quarters. We welcome all food that people are willing to bring and share!

Can I post pictures during/after the event?

Answer

Yes, feel free to post any pictures you want to any platform. If you are able, please tag your posts with #hugheswedding2026 so everyones pictures are categorized and searchable! Professional photos will be taken throughout the whole event and posted by the newlyweds once access is granted!
