Matron of Honor
Jamie is my older sister and the Matron of Honor at our wedding. She is super funny, a great friend, and a fantastic sister. Throughout my life, she has always made sure that I've been picked for sports teams (I'm not athletic at all, haha), saved a seat for me on the bus, did my make-up and hair for school dances and picture days, and let me hang out with her and her friends. She lives in Texas with her husband Mitch and works as a dental assistant. I'm excited to spend time with her throughout the wedding planning process since we live in different states. I'm grateful to have such a caring and loving sister.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay is my cousin and one of my closest friends. As kids, we have great memories from family vacations, birthday parties, and sleepovers. She has a fun personality and such a loving heart. It's impossible not to have fun when Lindsay is around. Lindsay is a grammar school teacher and works in Munster, Indiana. I'm so excited to have her in the wedding party, and I feel so thankful to have such an extraordinary cousin and friend in my life.
Bridesmaid
Amelia and I met during orientation for grad school at U of I, and we've been best friends ever since. Recently, Amelia moved back to Indiana with her husband Rick and their daughter Violet, and I could not be happier to have them close by! Amelia is insightful, caring, funny, and brilliant. She is a fantastic friend, and I'm lucky to know her. I'm so happy to have her as one of my bridesmaids!
Bridesmaid
Sidney and I met during a poetry class in college at Bradley University, and we've been friends ever since. I sometimes feel like we are the same person because we love a lot of the same artists, musicians, and writers. Sidney is hilarious, kind, and an amazing poet! She currently works as a school therapist. I'm so fortunate that we've kept in touch after college, and I'm excited to spend more time with her throughout the wedding planning process!
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met a few years ago during a meeting at the Wells Library, where I currently work. She is the art therapist at the Eskenazi Museum of Art, located on the IU Bloomington campus. We instantly bonded over our love for art because Lauren is also an incredible artist. I am now the proud owner of some of her work! Nick and I love to get dinner with her and her husband, Rob. We also love seeing their two sweet pups, Georgia and Lincoln. I love spending time with the newest and most precious addition to their family, their adorable son Reid! Lauren is funny, intelligent, and gives excellent advice. I'm so glad we are friends, and it feels like I've known her a lot longer than three years.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and I met through Nick and David (Nick's best friend and Best Man) because she is David's girlfriend. I feel so lucky to have met Alyssa because she is one of the kindest, most innovative, and most generous people I know. Alyssa is a mechanical engineer in the Kansas City area. She is also a talented singer and painter, and she can pretty much fix anything! Nick and I love to visit Alyssa, David, and their adorable Australian Shepard Freyja in KC. I feel honored to have Alyssa as a bridesmaid in our wedding and am so thankful to call her my friend.
Best Man
David has been my best friend since 8th grade. Though it was many years ago, it seems like only yesterday when we did an in class assignment about Gregor Mendel and his pea plant experiments. Since we left high school, David has earned a bachelor's and master's degree from SIUE, and is currently a PhD candidate at KUMC, in the department of Pharmacology, Toxicology, & Therapeutics. I am so proud of all of his accomplishments and I can't wait to see where life takes him (or rather, where he takes it). I am forever grateful for his thought provoking discussions/monologues and his sage advice.
Groomsman
Tommy is currently a DEA Special Agent, and a former St. Louis County Police Officer. I met Tommy after 8th grade at David's birthday party (Tommy, David, Logan, and I have all been friends for quite some time now). I once heard friendship described as, "100% commitment, anytime, any place, for life", and Tommy is the true embodiment of that description. I don't think I know anyone who is as selfless or dedicated to his profession (or his friends) as Tommy. I am truly honored and privileged to call him my friend.
Groomsman
I met Logan for the first time just after 4th grade, and I was immediately amazed by his kind and caring demeanor. Even after all these years, Logan continues to be a beacon of happiness and joy. Even in the darkest of hours, his honesty and good character never falters. He is the glue that binds us friends together.
