Attire for the welcome reception is casual. Come as you are and enjoy a drink and some appetizers with us to kick off the weekend. Attire for the wedding is also casual. Wear something you're comfortable and feel celebratory in! Nicholas and Hal will be wearing fun semi-formal clothes, so you're free to dress up or wear something more relaxed. We have reserved a room block at the SpringHill Suites in Frederick and it's available to book through May 23, 2025. A link is available via the Travel tab of this site. You may also want to check Airbnb or Vrbo for available rentals.
For the welcome reception, there's plenty of free parking at the venue and nearby. See the Travel tab on this site to view a map. For the wedding celebration party, the easiest place to park is in the East All Saints Parking Garage at 125 E. All Saints Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Metered street parking should also be available nearby.
The welcome reception will be held at Attaboy Barrel House, 24 S Wisner Street, Suite 110, Frederick, MD 21701. The wedding celebration party will be held at The Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 S Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Both sites are wheelchair accessible.
The easiest way to get to the venues will be to drive or take an Uber or Lyft.
Frederick is located about 1 hour from three airports: BWI in Baltimore, Dulles in Northern Virginia, and Reagan National in DC. BWI is probably the most convenient option. The other two are also good, although traffic in the DC area can be dicey. Feel free to reach out to Colleen, Tim, or Nicholas with any questions.
Your invitation will let you know if you're invited with a guest. If your invitation didn't include a guest and you'd like to bring one, please reach out to Nicholas at 301/514-8882. Space is limited, but we'd be happy to accommodate your request if we can.
The welcome reception will include a variety of hors d'oeuvres, including vegan options. At the wedding celebration party, we'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. There will be chicken and vegetarian entree options available. The vegetarian option is also vegan and gluten- and dairy-free.
At the welcome reception, there will be an open bar with liquor, beer, cider, seltzer, and wine. At the wedding party, there will be an open bar serving beer and wine for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception.
Your presence (in person or in spirit) is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would like to honor us with a gift, our wedding registry is part of this website -- just click on the "registry" tab. We will have a wedding card box at our reception.
The welcome reception will take place at Attaboy Barrel House on Friday, June 27 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Our wedding celebration will take place at The Delaplaine Arts Center on Saturday, June 28, with cocktails starting at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner and dancing, which is expected to end by 11:00 pm.
