Here’s some more specific directions for the best way to get to the venues for the Welcome Party and Wedding Celebration while Frederick Pride festivities are happening. For tonight’s Welcome Party: - Google Maps might direct you through Downtown Frederick, but you might encounter traffic and road closures. - From the SpringHill Suites, take Route 15 South to 70 East. Take exit 54 towards Downtown Frederick - If you’re coming from Baltimore, take 70 West to Exit 54. - Basically: come via the highway from south of the city rather than coming North through Downtown. - Once you’re off the highway, take East Street to East South Street to Wisner Street, where the Attaboy parking lot is - Text Colleen with any questions — 301-693-1251 For tomorrow’s Wedding Celebration: - Same as above — come via the highway from south of Frederick rather than driving through Downtown. - Once you’re off the highway at Exit 54, take East Street all the way to the East Street Garage. - There may be people directing traffic and showing you where to turn — you can follow their directions and they will guide you towards the parking garage.
For Friday's Welcome Party: - There might be more traffic than usual downtown, so plan to leave extra time to get to Attaboy. Attaboy has plenty of parking for us, so that won’t be an issue. - See our Travel page for more details about parking. - If you’re planning to go out to dinner after the Welcome Party, we advise making a reservation ahead of time since the area might be busier than usual. For Saturday’s Wedding Celebration: - Check back on Saturday morning for an update. - Some roads downtown will be closed and we anticipate traffic. There will be signs directing traffic, but plan to leave extra time to get downtown. Consider carpooling as well. - There is a parking garage at the Delaplaine. The parking fee will be $10 all weekend due to the Pride events. - If you want to explore Frederick’s Pride Festival, it’s happening along Carroll Creek (right next to our venue) from 11am-6pm on Saturday! www.visitfrederick.org/event/frederick-pride/7198/

Attire for the welcome reception is casual. Come as you are and enjoy a drink and some appetizers with us to kick off the weekend. Attire for the wedding is also casual. Wear something you're comfortable and feel celebratory in! Nicholas and Hal will be wearing fun semi-formal clothes, so you're free to dress up or wear something more relaxed. We have reserved a room block at the SpringHill Suites in Frederick and it's available to book through May 23, 2025. A link is available via the Travel tab of this site. You may also want to check Airbnb or Vrbo for available rentals.
For the welcome reception, there's plenty of free parking at the venue and nearby. See the Travel tab on this site to view a map. For the wedding celebration party, the easiest place to park is in the East All Saints Parking Garage at 125 E. All Saints Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Metered street parking should also be available nearby.
The welcome reception will be held at Attaboy Barrel House, 24 S Wisner Street, Suite 110, Frederick, MD 21701. The wedding celebration party will be held at The Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 S Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Both sites are wheelchair accessible.
The easiest way to get to the venues will be to drive or take an Uber or Lyft.
Frederick is located about 1 hour from three airports: BWI in Baltimore, Dulles in Northern Virginia, and Reagan National in DC. BWI is probably the most convenient option. The other two are also good, although traffic in the DC area can be dicey. Feel free to reach out to Colleen, Tim, or Nicholas with any questions.
Your invitation will let you know if you're invited with a guest. If your invitation didn't include a guest and you'd like to bring one, please reach out to Nicholas at 301/514-8882. Space is limited, but we'd be happy to accommodate your request if we can.
The welcome reception will include a variety of hors d'oeuvres, including vegan options. At the wedding celebration party, we'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. There will be chicken and vegetarian entree options available. The vegetarian option is also vegan and gluten- and dairy-free.
At the welcome reception, there will be an open bar with liquor, beer, cider, seltzer, and wine. At the wedding party, there will be an open bar serving beer and wine for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception.
Your presence (in person or in spirit) is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would like to honor us with a gift, our wedding registry is part of this website -- just click on the "registry" tab. We will have a wedding card box at our reception.
