Welcome drinks will be on Terrazza Caffarelli which is a beautiful rooftop on top of the Capitoline Museums overlooking all of Rome. We highly recommend visiting the museums before the event. There will be after dinner lite bites along with drinks and cocktails to welcome everyone to Rome! Il drink di benvenuto si terrà sulla Terrazza Caffarelli, una splendida terrazza panoramica con vista su Roma, situata in cima ai Musei Capitolini. Consigliamo vivamente di visitare i musei prima dell'evento. Il dopo cena includerá stuzzichini, drink e cocktail per dare il benvenuto a tutti a Roma!

Friday night after the welcome event, we will have shuttles returning to the Excelsior. On Saturday, we will have shuttles from the Westin to San Giovanni for the ceremony and from the ceremony to the reception. After the reception at the castle, we will have shuttles going back to the hotel and back to the Church for those who choose to park there. As part of your RSVP, we kindly ask that you indicate whether you intend to participate in the shuttle service. Dopo l'evento di venerdì sera, organizziamo un servizio navetta dalla Terrazza al Westin. Sabato, organizzeremo un servizio navetta dal Westin Excelsior a San Giovanni per la cerimonia, e dalla cerimonia al castello per il ricevimento. Al termine del ricevimento al castello di Bracciano, saranno disponibili delle navette per il rientro in hotel e a San Giovanni per chi sceglie parcheggiare li. In occasione della conferma della vostra presenza, vi chiediamo gentilmente di indicare se intendete usufruire del servizio navetta.

The ceremony will take place at the Basilica of Saint John at the Latin Gate, one of the oldest churches in Rome dating back to the 5th century. It is where St. John the Evangelist was dipped in boiling oil at the orders of Emperor Domitian, emerged unharmed, and then was later exiled to Patmos where he wrote the Book of Revelation. La cerimonia si svolgerà presso la Basilica di San Giovanni a Porta Latina, una delle chiese più antiche di Roma, risalente al V secolo. È qui che San Giovanni Evangelista fu immerso nell'olio bollente per ordine dell'imperatore Domiziano, ne uscì illeso e fu poi esiliato a Patmos, dove scrisse l'Apocalisse.

The reception will take place at the Odescalchi Castle which is around an hour from the ceremony. Overlooking Lake Bracciano, this castle is filled with courtyards and secret gardens, a "Hall of Caesars," and Renaissance frescoes. Dating back to the 15th century, this fortress was the seat of power for the Dukes of Bracciano and has belonged to families such as the Orsini and Odescalchi. Il ricevimento si terrà al Castello Odescalchi, a circa un'ora dalla cerimonia. Affacciato sul Lago di Bracciano, questo castello è ricco di cortili e giardini segreti, una "Sala dei Cesari" e affreschi rinascimentali. Risalente al XV secolo, questa fortezza fu la sede del potere dei duchi di Bracciano e appartenne a famiglie come gli Orsini e gli Odescalchi.
