Question

How do I get there?

Answer

If you are flying, the closest airport is Pittsburgh (about twenty minutes away). We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Beaver Valley and there will be a shuttle to take you to the venue and back. More details and a booking link are in the “Travel” section. There are also plenty of hotel options in downtown Pittsburgh if you would prefer to stay there instead of in Beaver. It takes 30-45 minutes to get from downtown Pittsburgh to Beaver. We will have a shuttle between the Hilton Garden Inn and Beaver Station from about 2:30 - 4 pm to get you to the ceremony and then from about 9:30 - 11 pm after the reception. Uber and Lyft do operate in Beaver, but we recommend booking rides in advance to avoid long waits.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Of course! We will have child-friendly food options and you can use the bridal suite as a quiet place for naps, nursing, and other child care related things.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Dress code is “cocktail” which we think means “look nice, be comfortable.”

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are not. We have already combined two households and don’t really need things. We also know that many of you are traveling to celebrate with us. If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, we appreciate that very much, but please do not feel obligated. Alternatively, consider making a donation to one of the following: • Pet Helpers Animal Rescue: https://www.pethelpersinc.org/ • United Nations Children’s Fund: https://www.unicef.org/ • The New York Legal Assistance Group: https://nylag.org/

Question

Can I request songs?

Answer

Sure! Except for ‘country roads’ which is strictly prohibited

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies so we can tell the caterers and make sure there are options for everyone.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of free parking at Beaver Station, which is the venue for the ceremony and the reception.

Question

Can I give a toast?

Answer

Absolutely! Anyone who would like to give a toast at the reception is welcome to do so. Please just let us know in advance and please keep it to 3 (ish) minutes.

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

We plan to start the ceremony at 4:30 so please plan to arrive by 4-4:15 at the latest. The last afternoon shuttle will depart from the hotel at 4 pm.

For all the days along the way
