Our story begins when Nicholas and I were younger, we lived in the same neighbourhood several doors down in Maryland. I remember playing with the “annoying” boy down the road and he remembers “the blonde twin girls” that would come down to play basketball or tag. A couple years later my family moved to Virginia, and we went our separate ways. Fast forward several years down the road, I was at a close friends house for a celebration and that’s where I re-met Nick, through that same family. We hit it off right away and became best friends. After that day we started talking back and forth every day, after talking for several months and many conversations about both our childhoods in Maryland living on the same base, he realized I was on of the “twin blonde girls” and he was that same “annoying neighbour boy” down the street. Even with so much time passed God still brought us back into each others lives. Fast forward several months, we began talking about taking our relationship to a more serious level and thats when Nicholas asked me to be his girlfriend. We put God first in our relationship and even through the struggles and hard times things cleared up when we put our trust fully in him. A year later Nicholas gave me a promise ring as a symbol of commitment between us with the intention of later replacing it with an engagement ring when God’s timing was right in our lives. From the moment we met there was an umistakable feeling that we had found our other half and who we were meant to be with. Looking back now, we never imagined that we would be falling for each other this hard! We began our relationship as best friends and we both believe that’s what has made our relationship stronger than ever. God brought us into each other’s lives and I couldn’t imagine having anyone else by my side as my partner, best friend, and soul mate<3

Nick made the entire evening a surprise by bringing me for a walk on our favorite beach to watch the sunset. During our first year of dating we use to sit by the water and enjoy the evening while watching the sunset and talking about our future together. Throughout our relationship long walks on the beach and simply communicating to eachother is what has made our friendship and relationship stronger as the days go by. So when he brought me to our favorite beach I thought nothing more of it, but as the sun was setting and turning the sky into a million colors, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. I was more than shocked and had no idea! I was beyond excited for what our future hds for us and the many memories we will be making together. Nicholas had talked with my father earlier that evening and had recieved his blessing over us and our relationship. Even though Nick was beyond nervous, he managed to turn that evening into one I couldn’t forget in a million years<3
