We can't wait to celebrate!

Our story begins a lot earlier than most are aware of. We met at a local bar back in April of 2016. I was there for a bachelorette party and Nick was out with some friends. I was about to run out of gas on my way home from the bar (typical) and Nick offered to show me the way to closest gas station. There he filled up gas tank and bought me a gatorade for the drive home. We exchanged numbers and continued on with our lives while occasionally checking in with one another. It wasn't until December 2018 that Nick finally convinced me to go on a date with him and we've been together ever since!

Nick told me to keep a weekend free in October because he planned a weekend away. I was instantly very suspicious of this and kept asking questions about details. He has a hard time keeping secrets from me so I am surprised he didn't spill the beans beforehand! We drove to Newport, RI for the night on a beautiful fall day. He hurried me along and told me we needed to go for a walk along the Cliff Walk. Looking back, he was acting very suspicious and kept pushing me ahead so I wouldn't see the ring in his pocket. He guided me (more like a pull) to an area to take a picture but another couple was headed that way before us. I looked up and saw two of our friends shoving the other couple out of the way and coming towards us with flowers and cameras in hand. I turned to find Nick sweating profusely. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Through the sobs, I of course said yes! We celebrated with champagne and lots of pictures. The following day I was surprised again with an engagement party with close friends and family. From there, the planning began!
