Nick and Liz went to high school together and had a very close mutual friend. Nick played water polo, and Liz came to every game. They both knew of each other, but hadn't really crossed paths. One day, at lunch, Liz invited Nick to come sit with her and her friends. The rest is history... they instantly became the best of friends. They had chemistry class together where Nick would play dumb and Liz would come to the rescue.

On January 07 2023, Jacob, Paige, Nick, and Liz set out on a crazy day. It started with them missing the train to NYC. They had tickets to go ice skating at the Rockefeller Center, but they were too late, so instead they just went to see the tree. Afterward, they went back to their Airbnb they were renting in Brooklyn to get ready to go to SERRA Restaurante for dinner; Nick takes Liz out to that restaurant every time they go to NYC. Once they left the restaurant, Jacob and Paige said they didn't feel too good so they wanted to head back to the bnb. So, Nick and Liz made their way to Target and walk around. Once they were done, they headed back to the bnb. Once he got it opened, Liz walked inside and she heard beautiful music playing. They opened the door and were met with rose petals, white balloons, candles, more flowers, and the song "Married Life" from the movie UP playing (which is the song that Nick asked Liz to be his girlfriend too). Once she saw Paige recording her, she knew exactly what was going on. She turned around and he got down on one knee.
