We highly recommend this art museum. It's well curated, has a large outdoor section, and is a short uber away from Downtown Kansas City.

This is the best place if you're looking for a craft cocktail or a nightcap. They are an actual distillery and make drinks with their own concoctions.

This was one of Nicholas's favorite spots growing up. It is primarily a shopping center filled with boutique restaurants and shops but was modeled after Seville, Spain. Not exactly something you'd expect when coming to Kansas City.

The Crossroads is most similar to Manhattan's SOHO or San Francisco's Mission neighborhoods, where you can find boutique coffee-shops, local art galleries, and places to wonder into and explore.

Old Westport

If you're looking for a neighborhood to go out in for the night, you'd go to Westport. Since Kansas City is spread out, they needed a place where you can walk from different bars and restaurants without having to drive. It has a village aesthetic with cobblestone streets, gas lights, and plenty to indulge in.

Kansas City is legendary for it's iconic Jazz-scene, the Green Lady is iconic in Kansas City, therefore the Green Lady Lounge is a must-must-must visit for any jazz-lover. It maintains it's speakeasy vibe with hanging chandeliers, velvet couches, and dim lighting; some nights you may even need a password to enter.

Kansas City is known for jazz and BBQ, and this place is the place were discerning locals go to get their hands dirty.

Char Bar is a recent addition to the BBQ scene in KC, but it's notable for it's fun atmosphere and vegetarian menu. They have a BBQ'd jackfruit sandwich that will change your perspective about BBQ and life.

Boulevard Brewing Company is the craft brewer of the Midwest. It's well-known among beer lovers for their wheat beers and lagers. Definitely worth an afternoon visit.

Worlds of Fun is our Six Flags, but it is one of the last privately owned amusement parks in the US. It has rides that you can't find anywhere else, and has an adjacent water park that is just as, dare I say it...fun! Tickets are $35 for the day.
