How We Met

Nick and I met back in 2012 at the Roachdale bar. I went out with a group of girls and he happened to show up. We had eyes for each other instantly, but were both too shy to say anything. He asked one of my friends for my name and if I'd be interested. When she told me, I thought she was talking about someone else, so I brushed it off. He didn't like that! He "chased" me down the alley when I went to leave and begged me to stay a few more minutes, so he could introduce himself. It worked! We have been inseparable since. I can't wait to marry my best friend!

The Proposal

Every October, his family throws a "Halloween Burdine Bash". We have gone a few years in a row now. In 2018, he decided to pop the question at the annual party. He had someone play one of our favorite songs by The Beatles "8 Days A Week". I found that to be odd because he had been singing this song on and off, ALL DAY LONG. I looked at him and said "you had to of requested this". He then got down on one knee in front of our family and friends! I was so surprised and happy! He couldn't have picked a better way to ask me to marry him!
