We're Getting Married!

It all started in high school—two classmates in the same hallways, passing each other by without much thought. We were just faces in the crowd, never imagining that years later, we’d be standing together as soulmates, ready to marry in November 2025. We didn’t know it yet, but life had a way of connecting us in unexpected ways. After high school, we stayed in touch through social media. For five years, we exchanged occasional messages, sharing little updates, laughter, and life’s changes. It wasn’t until one day, when the stars seemed to align, we went out on our first date. Our first date was magical in ways words can’t describe. There was an instant closeness between us, as though we had known each other for much longer than just a few weeks. From that moment on, we were inseparable, and before we realized it, we had become a couple—sharing laughter, adventures, and a love that only grew stronger with time. The years since then have been filled with so many precious memories—quiet moments spent together, traveling, laughing until our stomachs hurt, and supporting each other through life's ups and downs. But our absolute favorite memory will forever be the day of our proposal—December 10th, 2023. It was a Sunday. We had planned a lunch to celebrate Nick’s graduation, bringing together all of our closest family and friends. Looking back, I should have suspected something was up when Nick kept playing Diamond in My Pocket by Cody Johnson on repeat during our drive. But, of course, I was blissfully unaware. We arrived at the restaurant, and as I was caught up in the excitement of the lunch, Nick stood up to make a speech in front of our loved ones. His voice was steady, but his eyes—those eyes that always told me exactly how he felt—were full of something more. As he spoke, my heart started to race, and that’s when I saw it. He got down on one knee, and in that moment, time seemed to stop. Surrounded by everyone we loved, he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Tears of joy filled my eyes as I said “yes,” and I realized that our journey—from high school classmates to partners—had led us to this beautiful moment. It was the start of a new chapter, and I couldn’t wait to continue writing our love story together. Now, with the wedding planned for November 2025, Nick and I are more excited than ever. Our story, which began so simply, has blossomed into the kind of love I once only dreamed of. I know that the best is yet to come, and as we step into this next chapter, I am filled with gratitude for every moment that led us here. From classmates to soulmates, from a simple online friendship to a lifelong commitment, I couldn’t imagine sharing my life with anyone else. Here’s to forever with my love, my partner, my best friend.
