We wanted to do something a little different and adventurous. We both like nature and mountains and Dolly, so why not? Gatlinburg has something for everyone. It's family friendly and adult friendly! Whether you like great outdoors or all the amenities of modern civilization, this town has it.
What we love about Gatlinburg is that it's easily accessible. From Knoxville, it's literally a fresh paved six lane highway that takes you into town from the interstate. Tennessee knows how much of tourist heavy area Gatlinburg is, so they keep the roads clear of all ice and snow. Unless it's blizzard conditions, travel should be easy. Honestly, we hope that there is some snow! It'll make the pictures even better!
No way! What's great about Gatlinburg is that it's very accommodating for all budgets. There are hotels very close that are very affordable. Most are pet friendly too, you'll just have to ask the hotel.
