It already happened! But let's celebrate!

We met in an Intro to Journalism class at BU. The next class, he was sitting next to me. We barely talked, but a group project helped us take it to the next level. He took me all the way to the Roxbury courthouse via buses and trains so we could write about a case for class. Soon after, we went out for tacos and I convinced him we needed to go out for ice cream too, to celebrate his half birthday. A couple months later, we went on our first date to a cute little restaurant in the South End. Afterwards we walked the whole city from the South End to the North End and back west to Allston. Fast forward 8 years and another coast. We've always been inseparable.

On a trip to Ojai for Nick's birthday, we went to the olive oil vineyard. We walked back into the trees to take a selfie and he got down on one knee. Afterwards we got in the car to drive back to LA for Nick's birthday dinner, or so I thought. During the drive, I called everyone in my family. They didn't pick up my facetime calls, and for all I knew they were likely scattered in different states. I would later learn they were all together and driving to LA. It will always be one of my favorite memories, to walk into Republique thinking we had a reservation for two, and seeing our families seated at a table together. The Milk Bar truffle cake my sister surprised us with was the icing on top of an unforgettably special day.

On November 14th, 2020 we tied the knot in front of our parents and sisters with our Pastor. It was a special, intimate moment between us that we will treasure forever. Now that vaccines are rolling out, we feel confident in celebrating with all of you this year! Can't wait to see you all for a blessing and reception to follow.
