Let Forever Begin

Our paths had crossed many times throughout life. But it wasn’t until the summer of 2022 that we began to pursue what we didn’t yet realize would become the rest of our lives together. We spent that summer going on golfing dates and spending time with each other outside of mutual friends and work. From the very beginning, everything felt natural — the conversations, the laughter, and the comfort we hadn’t realized we were missing in one another. By October 2022, we officially began dating, and our story truly began. We met each other’s families, took trips together, and cherished every opportunity to be with one another. For the first two years of our relationship, we navigated long distance — Afton was in La Crosse completing her degree, while Nick was in Whitewater and Elkhorn finishing school and beginning his career. Though challenging, the distance only strengthened our connection and validated that we could face anything life presented, side by side. On July 23, 2025, at Lauderdale Lakes Country Club on hole 7, Nick got down on one knee. Our relationship had started with golf, our engagement happened on the course, and so, it feels only fitting to continue our journey at the place that brought us joy, meaningful time together, and the foundation for a love that continues to grow. This is the beginning of a new and beautiful chapter — one we are so excited to share with all of you.
